Chocolate cake recipe I baked this Saturday, it was so good I wanted to share it on my blog :D.
- 200 g flour
- 300 g sugar
- 7 eggs
- 1 small cup of cocoa powder (espresso cup size)
- 1 small cup of boiling water (espresso cup size)
- 1 small cup of vegetable oil (espresso cup size)
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions:
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside. Mix together all the other ingredients and beat well. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites. Bake in the oven at about 190 °C (375 °F) for around 50 minutes. Once baked, let the cake cool before adding the topping.
TOPPING
200 g chocolate (1 bar) 40 g butter 2 tablespoons sugar 2 eggs
Instructions:
Melt the chocolate, butter, and sugar together (in the microwave or in a double boiler). Beat the eggs and mix them into the melted chocolate. Stir well. Slice the cake in half horizontally, fill with part of the chocolate cream, and spread the rest on top.
